THINK Russian doll and fairy tale, designer duo Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri are the ones telling the childhood fable of “Hansel and Gretel.” After my trip to Moscow last year and my obsession for the Russian blog elite – all I wanted was to wear coquette dresses, knee socks, bow pump, headbands, clutches and “puffy” dresses. So I was happy to see Red Valentino feminine collection AW13 at New York Fashion Week today – DA!
HE does it again! Bring things down to it’s simplicity yet perfection. The cutouts, see-through stripes, spongy tees and sweatshirts/80′s skiing jackets, sexy slits dresses and more makes me wanna jump. SO looking forward to a symmetric black and white spring. How about you?
SEEING all the New York shows brings back some good memories. Here’s some from Alexander Wangs after party two year ago. OMG still one of the best carnivals I’ve ever been to!
TODAY NYFW official starts, although we could already see a few previews yesterday. This go around I will not be attending. However I will follow it and here’s from moi with love:

LAST year I met the man himself. Not sure what could really encounter that. For this go around I have picked some stops I recommend you to if you’re in New York City tomorrow. Also keep in mind that most designers actually will be in their stores and that you will have great opportunity to hunt down whoever is on your list.
Track down the Manolo Milkshake Truck Then, stop at the Manolo Blahnik store for the unveiling of a special shoe designed by Sarah Jessica Parker, who will be in attendance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Carine Roitfeld is guest editing and styling some of the standout looks from the Fall 2011 collections.
Rebecca and my favorite blogger The Man Repeller is hosting a hair braiding bar to celebrate the launc of Polyvore’s Dee Clutch.

NYFW is coming up and will not be able to participate – which I will tell you all about later. I will really miss going to the shows and backstage however I still report my favorites. Also I think it’s super cool that Elin Kling is styling Tibi’s show and if you curious how it looked two years ago click HERE.
EMILY DIDONATO BACKSTAGE AT TIBI NYFW SS2010 BY ME
WHOPPA! What a fabulous vacation I have had so far: San Fran, Napa Valley and now Stockholm almost like a dream. As usual too many photos and too little time. Let me try to get together some fab postcards for this week before my hard drive crashes (lately he’s telling me he’s out of space for my pics)! What else?? Fall is here and I’m in desperate need of a jacket – anyone suggestions that’s not in leather? Thaaanks! xoxo n

WHAT else makes us feel closer to being summer chic than a preview of the Resort collections. Alligator is on and if you’re looking for a more city chic look I would go with the booties, just so laid back. Inspired by Picasso and his Cubist period. Enjoy the full collection HERE. xoxo
