AFTER checking out from Kingston airport and into our car there were lots to come. After a three hours drive through Bob Marley’s home quarters, poverty, coconuts, Jerk chicken, we finally reach the legendary Treasure Island. Whether pirates use to ravage here or two ships with gold and jewelry went down right in front of me at Treasure Beach just makes it so much more mysterious. Anyway, I just spent the BEST weekend ever with Meggie at this place. Find more from this amazing trip HERE. Enjoy!

EARLIER this year I went to visit Jamaica with my friend Meggie. We stayed at this hotel inspired by love stories called Jakes Hotel at Treasure Beach. This  fairy tale absolutely caught me so much I’m definitely going back. Apparently celebs like Kate Moss herself been here doing photo shoots and when we arrive after a three hours drive from Kingston the owner of Balthazar just checked out. With an outdoors kitchen and choices that serves anything from American breakfast to Continental – so you just can’t go wrong. Just a pitty we missed Keith McNally cooking for everybody. However use their lovely Driftwood spa, take the boat to the Pelican bar and go for some rastafari…

HOW are you lovely birds doing? I’m so happy sun is shinning and I’m getting my morning coffee… And of some reason I can’t get my mind off the Chloé sandals… Believe I have to pop by there to see if there’s any substitutes around. xoxo

HOPPAS ni får massa påskägg med fint i. Här har jag ingen aning om vad som händer. Första påsken utan familjen, hur ska detta gå?? Haha okej massa påskpussar på er!

JAG visst glömt att berätta mer om var vi bodde. Stället heter Jakes hotel och är lite av en dröm. Öar av små hus i de mest intensiva färger du kan tänka dig som peelats av solens strålar och heta Afrika-vindar. Perfekt vatten och underbar mat – veckan innan bodde ägaren av Balthazaar , bara en sån sak!! Mmm… Förutom allt det vackra och chilla kan ju ingen av oss sluta tänkta på en liten utgång.  HAHA! Kanske den skummaste någonsin… 63 procentig rom,  endast skräckinjagande killar med bilar som gastar ut reggae …  Yoo man!

Translation: African winds, adorable water, lovely food and just such thing as the owner of Balthazar stayed here the week before, pretty much tells it all. But besides Treasure Beach there’s alway time for night out. I’m just telling you – prepare yourself for something else! Imagine a villa fest with ONLY guys,  reggae bouncing out from the cars and 63 % rum… We left pretty early and found these hot mannequins…

TREDJE dagen kande vi for lite fisk och hummer. En cykeltur till Great Bay med var snygga guide fick oss mer eller mindre att saga ja till allt. Det blev bade red snaper och hummer i stora last, magiska sma strande var Kate Moss har fotograferats…

Translation: Third day our handsome guide took us for a bike tour fishing fish and lobster, grilling and magic private  beaches where Kate Moss been photographed…

RESAN tog fart med en bildfärd genom Bob Marleys hemstad. Ett Downtown Kingston som smycks av färgstarka byggnader, påtaglig fattigdom, övergivnina barracker och ekande skott. Vi tar oss vidare in i landet. Kyrkor ploppar upp en efter en ungefärg lika ofta som varje kokosnöt stånd. Vi provar Jerk kyrkling och en del spännande drycker. Säger bara cashewnötsjuice för… Efter tre timmars färd når vi äntligen målet, Treasure Island, där två stora piratskepp en gång sjönk fulld med guld och juveler – kan det blir mer spännande än så?? Jag tror inte det. Och det är här alldeles intill Treasure Beach jag tillbringat en magisk helg med min vän Meggie.
